Hask: Healing Shine Hair Treatment

I think that most of my Instagram selfies being hashtagged with #messyhairdontcare proves that I'm not much of a hair person. I wash it with whatever is on sale, I towel dry, and I brush it. Then it usually goes in a bun to save it from the grabby hands of my toddler. Regardless, I do care about the health of my hair, even if it doesn't always look the best. When I found this Hask Argan Oil Healing Shine Hair Treatment at Ulta, I thought I'd give it a shot.

Packaging & Value
You get 18 mL of oil for $2.99. This doesn't seem like a lot of product, but you only use a dime-sized drop each time you apply it. I've used this at least once a week for about a month now and there's about half an inch of product missing. That's not a bad price in my opinion. The packaging is pretty straight-forward, but it does have some flaws. The cap simply pops off, revealing an open pour-type spout. I do wish that the dispenser was smaller because I feel like you have to be very careful as to not pour out too much. I do, however, appreciate the size of the tube.

Application & Longevity
To apply this to your hair, you carefully pour a dime-sized drop into your palm, rub your hands together, and run your hands through your hair. I start in the middle of my hair, working my way down. The bottle says to avoid the roots which I can vouch for. If you get this too close to your roots, your hair will end up looking very oily. I apply this to wet hair before brushing. This oil is supposed to prevent frizz all day, and I would say that, in my experience, it does just that.

Results & Recommendations
For $2.99, I'd recommend giving this argan oil a try. It has seemed to make my hair appear healthier after a month of use, and I plan to keep using it. Plus, if you're more of a hair person than I am, keratin, one of the main ingredients in this oil, can protect your hair from your heated styling tools!

    1. Do you have a Walgreens or Walmart in your area by chance? I believe they sell them there as well. If you don't have luck finding them in store, you can also buy them on Amazon! Thank you for commenting!
