L'Oreal: Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care

I've been using the same face moisturizer for the past nine years and while it's done its job well enough, I've always wondered what my other options were. When L'Oreal came out with this new Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care Moisturizer that is said to provide continuous hydration for 72 hours, I knew I wanted to try it! I chose the normal/oily skin version, but they do make a dry version as well.

Packaging & Value
This moisturizer comes packaged in a cardboard box, which I found to be very lovely. It looks like a high-end product. The bottle itself is very heavy, which makes sense; the bottle is a thick glass. Again, it just feels expensive. As I stated, I've been using the same moisturizer for almost a decade. It costs $6.50 and it lasts me a little under a month with daily use. This moisturizer retails for $17.99 and has lasted me over a month, and I use it twice a day. There is still a lot of product in the bottle. So while I may be spending almost three times as much, I feel it is a fair price because of how much use I can get out of it.

Application & Longevity
The moisturizer is dispensed by a plastic pump, which I love. I use a full pump to cover my entire face and neck. The first time I used this, as it is with almost any new product you apply to your face, I did notice a bit of redness around my nose and on my cheeks. This went away after a few hours and never happened again. The aloe in this moisturizer does make it slightly thicker, but it is so lightweight on my face. In fact, it doesn't feel like anything at all. My skin just feels nourished and soft. I tried, one time, to wear it for 72 hours to test the claim on the box, but I felt the need to wash my face and gave up.

Results & Recommendations
After a few weeks, I am confident in saying that my skin is softer and more moisturized from using this product. I will definitely continue to use this L'Oreal Hydra Genius moisturizer and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to switch things up in their skincare routine!
