Monave: Face Illuminizer in Glow

One of the biggest makeup trends this year seems to be highlighting, and I am no stranger to fawning over that glow. So when I heard that Monave Minerals had an illuminizer, which advertises a similar result, I had to get one. I've been using it for a few months now and here's what I think.

Packaging & Value

Monave offers a full-size and a sample size of this illuminizer. The full-size, which I opted for, was $12 and came in a 5-gram plastic pot with a sifter. I was surprised at how much product was in the container. The container itself is very sturdy, yet lightweight, making it great to throw in my makeup bag. My biggest grievance is that the sifter holes are so large that the powder sits on top of the sifter and I have to use a very light touch with my brush to avoid fall-out.

Application & Longevity

After a bit of finagling to get the right amount of product on my brush, this applied beautifully. For those of you who want your highlight to shine brighter than the sun, this isn't going to be the product for you. For those of you who want a wearable and subtle sheen, this will be perfect. Even over concealer and foundation, this finely-milled powder never creased up on me. This swatch was done over a face primer.

Results & Recommendations

I really enjoy using this illuminizer and would absolutely recommend it. Monave is such a wonderful company, and, from my experience, their products always live up to expectations. This illuminizer is no exception. I would also recommend using a setting spray over this product, as I do in all of my makeup looks, for added luminosity. All-in-all, I'm very impressed and would definitely repurchase this product.
