Zuii Organic: Flora Limited Edition Lipstick in Petal
After the honeymoon, Zuii Organic and I were walking hand-in-hand through the park when we came across a buschel of light pink azalea flowers. I said, "Oh, I wish my lips were this color." Just then my phone buzzed and an alert popped up saying: "ZUII ORGANIC NOW MAKES A PINK LIPSTICK CALLED PETAL. HURRY! IT'S A LIMITED EDITION SHADE." So I nagged at my new bride until this flora lipstick was in my hands. What's that you say? You don't believe my story? Well that's exactly how it happened.
Packaging & Value
Just like Zuii Organic's other flora lipsticks, this limited edition lipstick costs $27.50, which I used to think was high. After using these for so long, I can honestly say that $27.50 isn't bad at all for a certified organic, super moisturizing lipstick. Plus, if you enter the code "BBNerd" at checkout, you can get 10% off of your entire order. Marriage does have its perks! The packaging is also just like all of Zuii's other flora lipsticks; simple but beautiful. I love that this one has a label to remind me that it's limited edition.
Application & Longevity
Creamy is the best word to describe the formula of this lipstick. With the other Zuii Flora Lipsticks I own, I reapply every 2 to 3 hours, but this one actually seems to last a tiny bit longer, about 4 hours. Even if I go past that time frame, however, my lips don't appear patchy. Since this lipstick doesn't dry down, I can just rub my lips together a few times and it distributes to cover my lips again. Plus, since it is so true-to-color, I don't feel like I lose much color, even after it has faded a bit.
Results & Recommendations
The lip swatch above was taken 4 hours after I applied this lipstick. As you can see, there are a few spots that could use a touch-up, but I wouldn't think twice about wearing this out as is. I'm in love with both the formula and the shade of this lipstick. I would absolutely recommend this limited edition shade to everyone! But don't procrastinate if you want to get one of your own. You could miss out!
